This is a 3-day, no-reserve auction. This book is in Very Good condition. Please see the large scans below. The pros: Cover has good color with no fading and still some gloss remaining. Inside pages are white to off-white, and are very supple, with no browning or tan edges. Inside covers are off-white to cream. Book lays flat with just the hint of a spine roll. Both the cover and centerfold are firmly attached at both staples. The cons: A few moderate corner creases upper right and lower right front cover. Minor reading creases (the cover was folded back a few times), a few transverse spine creases, and some minor spine abrasion. Small 1/8" tear on lower staple, front cover. Top edge of front cover is frayed due to over-cover. There is a 1" tear running down the right edge of the Thing's left leg, in such a way that the tear is invisible on the scan and at first glance. (Definitely sealable, if you are into restoration.) There is a slight vertical curl, starting at the top edge of the front cover, running down about 2/3rds of the way. Doesn't show in scan or at first glance. Other very minor wear consistent with grade. Book is complete with no writing, missing pages, or coupons cut out. Overall, a very nice book. The 2003 Overstreet guide value for this book is approximately $20-$25. The opening bid, as always, is less than half-guide, @ only $9.95, with no reserve. Here's your chance to own a classic for not too much money!

I have been buying, selling, and grading comic books for over 40 years. I grade conservatively, using the Official Overstreet Grading Guide, second edition, January, 2003. I always offer large, detailed scans of both the front and back covers, first page, and centerfold, so you can see exactly what you're bidding on. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me email. -- Gregory Hatfield, owner, TimeSpirit2000 Comix
